We have two touring projects:
World Music Academy on the Road
A programme of workshops & mini projects for schools, targeting areas and regions that are challenged in addressing cultural diversity and have poor or limited access to world music, particularly those in rural and isolated communities (geographically or socially). The workshops use singing, rhythm and instrumental skills to introduce participants to different world music styles and cultures with simple, powerful musical arrangements.
Led by Musiko Musika’s Artistic Directors, Mauricio Venegas-Astorga and Rachel Pantin, the project team of four or five musicians, all experts in their cultural tradition and instruments and representing diverse world music backgrounds, introduce participants to their music and culture in the participatory workshops and presentations.
